If you take a really close look at the website, almost all of the comparisons are made with out the other chargers being cooled and their charger being cooled.. Centrifuge chargers are not bad for high revving engines and you want most of the gains near the top end. Remember, you NEVER GET SOMETHING FOR NOTHING.

Now, if you take a look at the charts supplied on the procharger website, they are showing a 28 degree charge air delta after the intercooler. Using the numbers from Eaton of a delta temp of 150 degrees and intercooler efficiency value of 75 percent (which is at the very bottom end of our intercooler) the temp change is 37.5 degrees.. so using the

75+28=103 degrees
75+37.5=112.5

Now we use zero percent humidity/zero feet altitude and the altimeter pressure of 29.235 (for a constant).

for 103 degrees:

The air density is 1.1036kg/m3 the SAE HP correction is 97.3 percent

for 112.5 degrees:

The air density is 1.0883kg/m3 and the SAE HP correction is 96.3 percent.

So your net effect is 1 percent, so by the book you get 2.5 hp increase at the top end only and lose some HP in the low and mid range... Seems worth several thousand dollars to me.....

dynoing a ricer is like beating off. it seems fun at the time, but theres really no point.
