Ok, I'm not sure everyone is understanding everyone else here, or maybe it's me.

I was under the impression that SLS said that this occurs for a few seconds when he starts it. It idle's rough, the needle dips once, and then the idle straighten's out a few seconds later. Is that correct? And only when cold?

If it's 8-10 seconds, while the car is warming up, I have no idea what they would do for you. Fuel dosen't like to atomize as the temps go down. The A/F ratio for startup can be incredibly rich. It has to inject more fuel to get enough atomized, to get the car to fire up, and then has to rapidly back off the amount that it's spraying. Since the car is heating up so rapidly. 8-10 seconds dosen't seem too bad to me.
