have insurance companys finally figured out the diff between these and other ions? i remember a long time ago ppl were getting great rates on them b/c insurances companys couldnt tell the diff between these and ion 3s.

thanks for your help,

I previously owned a 02 SC2 and it was classified a 14 on their insurance scale, pretty decent. When I traded that in and got the 04 RL the insurance didnt go up much for me. It is classified and rated a 16 through them. Very low compared to some in the mid/upper 20's for most "performance" cars. Higher the #, higher the $.

I would suggest just calling your agent and discussing it with them!

Good luck to you.
