I would think the best dampener would have 2 torklinks, 1 set up for push, and 1 for pull, not sure about placement though, but they do make adjustable ones with a spring to smooth vibrations. I think I recall people saying the torque foreward engine braces did make some more vibration at idle, but not all that bad.

As for the motor mounts, it's better to use an industrial urethane, or a 2 part catalyzed material with a hardener like duramix or fusor...I believe torque foreward sells filled mounts with industrial urethane, and you core yours back to them after installation so your car isn't disabled while the urethane cures.
