I get a noticable difference in level depending on which side I squeze. When I squeze the drivers side hose it goes from the cold level line almost to the top. The other side does not rise more than 1/2 way and a fair amount of that is just the displacement from pinching the hose as Watts-up pointed out. Take your cap off BTW.
