another random thought...

i measured the K&N tubing...its 3" internal diameter throughout.
i measured the stock intake tubing and MAF housing:
tubing is a little over (like 1/16") 3", and the MAF is tapered.
The MAF starts out as 3 1/4" inside the filter, then tapers to 3" internal diameter at the end of the housing.

The length of the K&N tubing (from filter to Throttle Body)...is approx. 4'
The length of the STOCK tubing (from filter to TB)...is approx. 2'
