holy jesus i didn't think i'd have to spell this one out to car people. what happens if you take the Sc off of Scion... you get, ready for it, ION. Now what do we normally abbreviate the SuperCharger to instead of typing the fullword out... i'll give you a clue. the letters are in capitals. perhaps maybe SC. So in stead of having the SC attached to the rear bumper and spelling out SCION, we only have ION on our rear bumper and the SC is underneathe the hood in the form of a SuperCharger.
