If you can imagine what a chewed up skittle looks like, then you can picture the condition of the SRT4 I saw tonight. First I'll say where I was at, so fellow metro-detroiters have an idea. I'm coming home from work, heading north on I-75, and get off at exit 69, Big Beaver Rd

. At least one night out of every week, around that big bend where that exit is at, there's usually one accident on any given side of the freeway. Tonight is that 1 night of the week (so far):
I'm driving down the stretch of 75 before my exit, and I see a cop's lights, then another. Unfortunately I have to take this exit slow since the cops are right next to it (but after, on the other side of the wall). I usually take the curvey exit at about 80, then the 25mph banked turn part at about 50

but I couldn't tonight

. Once I'm on the exit, I see another cop car, and then a Camaro cop car. In all, there were probably 7-8 cops lined up on the right shoulder. I see some type of business van in between the cops, that didn't look like it had any damage. After I pass a couple more cop cars, all their lights on, I see a flatbed truck, and then see the SRT4 on it, immediately recognized by the spoiler. As I drive past it slowly, getting a good view, I see the rest of the car, all mangled up. It's right side has many dents and crimples, broken windows, the roof was all bent up. So back to my first description: a chewed up skittle pretty much resembled this car.
My take on the situation is that it looked like the end result of a cop chase. The Camaro cop car being a leading hint, as well as 7 other cops. Given the condition of the SRT4, it looked like it tried taking the big curve too fast, lost control, and either A) slammed into the right barrier pretty hard, smashing up that side of the car I saw, or B) rolled it into the wall.
Just thought I'd post this scene, hopefully will hear something about it on another forum or on the news somewhere.
*Edit: The SRT4 was red.
