ya, sounds like he used a computer tax program to do your taxes. there is an option with those types of programs to either pay your fees up front, or have them taken out of your return. if you paid them up front your return went directly from the IRS to your bank acount... but if you had the fees deducted from your return, than a temporary account was set up at a different bank... the IRS transfered your return to that new temporary account, your fees were deducted from said account, and then that bank wired the money to your bank. since that temporary account no longer exists, you will get your stimulouse payment by paper check.

i was in the same boat as you, got my return direct deposited, but my stimulouse came as a paper check b/c i used turbo tax or some shit, and they set up an account at another bank that deducted the fees then transfered the remainder to my account. my social ends in 09 and i got my check last thursday.
