Tuning... quick tips for noob? critique?
|
Alright, everyting is in the mail,
AEM UEGO,
42# Flow matched injectors w/harness
VCM Suite Pro
Asus EEE for tuning (and note taking/web surfing hehe)
I was going to get a return-style fuel system as well, but i remembered one of the sage pieces of advice from when i was younger looking at modding a fox body stang... one thing at a time. I know if i did injectors and a fuel system overhaul i'd manage to do something wrong tuning-wise.
looking for a quick lookover on how i'm thinking of doing the tuning (some terminology might be a bit off, i dont even have the software, but trust me i do have a pretty firm grip on how an ECU and motor interact)
First off adjust the injector constants, via maths available on this and HPT forums should get me relativley close... beyond this its either correcting the tables via STFT tuning, or SD tuning ... wont bother typing that out, but i'd be following the steps in CPIG's tuning sheets on HPT forums.
I'm very very close to gutting my cat, and welding a pipe through it... Is the rear O2 bung close enough to put the W/B sensor there, or have a signle NB there to feed the ECU, turning off CAT related codes?
Its this or getting a very-high flow cat, for those who are enviromentally concerned.
