I'd say it depends upon you and what you want to get out of racing. If you're into cruising and occasionally lighting up your tires...you might wanna stick with what's on the car right now - street skins. You'll tear 'em up eventually, but not all at once...If you run the occasional autocross, you might be okay too with your street rubber...but...if you want to go faster and save your street tires for all-seasonal wear and grocery-gettin' then I'd say get a spare set of wheels, mount up some R-comps and when you head over to your local autocross - slap the sticky slicks on, lower the tire pressures and smoke the skins and the competition...put your street tires back on for the ride to your local beer joint or hangout to tell your buddies about the Porsche ya' just beat on time...

For me, no matter how ya' look at it...you need a spare set of skins, even if your just "messin' 'round'racin'" Your gonna need your treaded tires to get home on... I believe God is a race fan, He'll make it rain on your race activities every once in a while, but He likes seeing men go fast...and you can only do that in the dry...but the ride home isn't racing...He might make it rain on your parade...that's why ya' need those street tires good and ready...for the ride home! HAHAHA!

Just my $.02 which seems to be worth less than that each successive day!

Whatever ya' do...have fun at it. The car is more than capable...have a blast and run it hard!
