Pics of my new stereo setup in the trunk

This is what I have been working on this week, a couple people know about the project, but here is the first progress pics of the work

Still a couple small things to clean up, but you get the idea

That's pretty clean...not much of a "thumping" kind of guy, but that looks pretty hot - nice work.

How much would you say materials cost you for that? And how long did it take?

Thanks for the comments, a couple answers

The wood cost me 6 dollars (offcut lumber at the home depot)
The dynomat (roofing membrane) from Rona (candian) cost 30 bucks for a 10" x 33'
PL bulldog grip 2 tubes of it, $14
Lots of screws........
Not including the amps and speakers, I have had those for several years, so the cost of that isn't included.
And it took me about 6 hours to complete, and not one screw into the stock car, I didn't wanna do anything toooo permanate.

Going to need alittle bit more dynomat in several other places in the car to keep the rattles from taking hold

Jer

+1 on the fab work.
You oughta replace that 1x12"
and make it 4x12" square subs, That'd be waaaay sweet. Wouldnt be that much more work...just replace the amp w/2x1000W and re-do the top of the box...

+1, thats super nice. If you are interested in building one to sell, I have been looking for a setup like that. I just don't have the time to fab up anything myself.

oh, and is that a 10" or 12"?

No thanks with the 4 12's, too much weight, just looking for alittle thump and still be able to use the trunk

I am using a dual voice coil 12" sub, with a 3" x 9" port, it thumps well, especially with only 350 watts peak running to the speaker.......the other amp is running the 6.5" mid bass speakers in the rear deck, and the front speakers are kaption components.

As for selling it, you would need to bring your car up to Toronto, cause I can't make them to ship, it has to be built into the car.
