Remote on wire - 2006 redline - advanced audio

Hey everyone

I'm trying to install a sub right now and want to get the remote-on signal from the amp in the back (advanced audio system on a 2006 redline).

Can anyone give me pointers? Or if you've done it already - can you tell me which one it is?

Thanks!

I just did it a couple days ago bro. The easiest way is to splice into the wire for the rear cig lighter. Can't remember off hand what color it was, but there's only 2 of them. you have a 50/50 chance of getting the right one. and if you don't get the right one on the first try you just butt splice that one back together and split/splice the other wire. It's hella easy man, and it's a way shorter distance to yr amp and you don't have to deal with figuring out which wire is the right one out of all those other ones in the rats nest behind the stereo deck.

heres the pics ..... just tapped into the rear speaker wires and then the hot pink wire is the led works perfect and the way i had it set up only took about 1 hour counting the time to find the tools and crawl my big ass into that trunk ....

Thats definitely the easiest way.iI didn't bother running a wire all the way from the cigarette lighter.

I'm *hopefully* gonna be running the wires for my setup tomorrow

I don't have the Advanced Audio system, but I pulled all the rear panels & everything & found the infamous "pink wire" for the remote turn on in the passenger side kickpanel harness (it goes into a harness but doesn't connect to the other end of the harness going to the back of the car since I don't have the factory Amp)

But you should have the pink wire (remote turn on wire) going to the amp of the AAS anyways....just tap into that....really simple

Yeah, That way prob is easier. I forgot we were talking about the AAS. I don't have that on mine so it was either run the wire from the rear lighter or find the correct one on the back of the rcvr. but hey, both ways work. I also mounted my amp onto the back of the passenger side rear seat. it looks pretty cool. sometimes I'll fold the rear seat down, when i have the A/C on just to keep the amp a little cooler. I have to poest some pics soon. I'm still a newbie as I've only been a member since yesterday.
