Factory CD Player wont work

I tried searching but found no problems like this.

My factory radio (six disk changer) says Disk Error when I turn it on. It had been working fine earlier, then I got back in the car and tried to play a disk. It stoped playing, said disk error ejecting disk, but never did. Now I can do nothing cd related. I cant even press AUX to get to the cd function to try and eject a disk. Anyone ever have this problem?

Ok, good. Although it sounds like it jammed somehow, and probably shorted out. Usually has to be sent in to a audio service facility (No dealers do this stuff in house anymore, too hard to work on the little bitty circuit boards). Adding moving parts is never a good thing. I'll never get a changer because of these issues. I work in the field. I've seen 100's of changers fail in the last 3 years. All makes, all models. MP3's = good, changers = bad.

Often these 6 disk MP3 changers will recover by disconnecting the power source (fuses or connection on the back of the radio) and reconnecting the power (just turning it off by the key or power button isnt enough)

I offer a $79.00 (includes shipping) exchange repair service on these panasonic units if your out of warranty and have no luck with above procedure. If your interested send me a PM

When the dealer swaps out the changer be sure to request your jammed CDs to be returned to you.
