Speaker question (04 RL)

Did the redlines come factory with blaupunkt overdrive components in the front and kicker speakers in the rear deck? I have the 6cd/mp3 head unit if it matters.

What size are the rear deck speakers anyway, 6x9? One of mine is bad.

I believe rear deck speakers are 6.5" and I am pretty sure GM wouldn't put two different brand speakers in the car.

+1, all the speakers are 6.5." I don't think that they are any "special" brand. I pulled mine like 2 weeks after I had the car. And threw in some Kenwood Excelons.

I thought the rears were just 6" subs, and I use that word loosely. The factory system is just weak until you add a sub, then it really comes together.

All this is just my opinion.

Nope , they are just slightly deeper than the front speakers. same wattage and handling power.

Well that does make sense. It always seemed like the back speakers weren't as loud as the front though. I was probably just hearing the tweeters in the doors I guess and getting it all crossed up.

Yeah, I personally got some Audiobahn 6.5's for the back. They come with a built in tweeter, and they have a little bass to them. But whatever they don't have, my subs make up for.
