I'm interested to know the answer to this, also.

I'd like to get something for about $220, instead of some flashy overpriced crap.

For $200, I'm not sure you're going to get anything that's a real upgrade over stock...

im not afraid to drop some dough on a head unit. i jus dont want to spend to much. and ive herd of people having problems wth onstar if they go afterarket. i jus want alittle more bump in the trunk.. for when im cruising. thats why i went with only one 10. and im hopeing to find good replacement speakers in the stock location so the sound quality is better. any good ideas sp00n... oh and on a side note i dont know if i can get the sp00ner 4 lyfe shirt made in time for tommorow's lacr drags....

I would replace the stock speakers first... and then see how she sounds... I've just got my subs in with the stock AAS setup and I'm pretty happy right now. I'd have to drop at least $200 just to MATCH the stock headunit... might get you a feature or two. That's my plan for now...

Plus I've heard that the harness for adapting the onstar and such is $$$... like $100 in some cases...

You will w/o AAS. The stock head units (at least in the '06) suck. Zero power.

I'm looking in the 300 range myself. Ironically, thats just what my headunit costs!

Now to stop buying performance stuff and to buy this...

EDIT: The internet pwned you for a minute there.

No. The stock unit does not have any inputs/outputs, unless you have an '06/'07, then you have one input in the front.
