Nope, they got changed in '06. Just call them and tell them you need one for an '06. As for speakers, 6.5"s all around. I'm not really sure about the onstar (as I don't have it)

here is crutchfields response.
Hello,

*

Thanks for shopping the Crutchfield web site.

In answer to your question about installation information for your 2007 ION, unfortunately, we*don't have any installation information or installation accessories available at this time. Our researchers have*been unable to obtain a test vehicle for specifications and dimensions. I'm sorry I don't have better news for you today.

*

Please check our online vehicle selector in a few months - we may have information listed for you then. Here's a shortcut to our online vehicle selector:

That sucks man. See if there is someone in your area with an '06, and see if they are the same. If they are, just get the '06 one.

Yeah Crutchfield only has info on the 2004 Ion....when you try & put in a newer Ion it says they don't have your info. Everything is the same except for the headunit change in '06-07. So you're gonna need the proper dash kit & wiring harness for your '07.

The "black tie" radio is in a bunch of GM cars now....(Solstice, Sky, HHR, Vue...). They should have something available, but not too sure about keeping the OnStar

Even ebay has the frickin' harnesses though:
