NTB: 10 inch subwoofer

I blew my SPL CAL-10 this morning. I am only running a sony gtr 800w amp(2 channel) The sub is rated at 600w rms. It is DVC. I am a serious amateur and i probably had it wired up bad. I only ran one channel to it because with two it cut the amp off. Which i am now putting together i had it wired up wrong. Anyone selling a single 10 inch sub that will sound great in a 10 inch sealed box. I would prefer DVC. I would possibly need a wiring diagram as well. Thanks

how big is your box?? and how much do you want to spend.. those spl subs are junk fyi.. the amp is okay at best and will do the job but you must MUST MUST hook up both of the subs coils you can not run a dvc sub using only one coil would most likely be the reason you smoked it but there are other as well..lmk

btw the only real thing a dvc does is allow for more wiring config's to the amp.. they will usually handle more power also.. but a good single coild will but any day just as good as a dvc..

I had both coils hooked up..but only ran one channel of power. the sub box is a ballistic 1 cub foot sealed. I just want a sub that will last and sound great. Also, a sub that can handle the power and wont break if i crank it up loud(not saying i will push the bass) but i play my shit loud. I however turn the bass on the head unit to the far negative. Any suggestions on what to get would be awesome.

what about the audiobahn aw10000v? its 102.99. I am looking for deep clean bass. I hope that makes sense. Another thing is most subs sound great in a ported box. I need a sealed. The sub u mentioned will that be optimum in the box i have?

imo audiobahn is garbage.. some will disagree with me but we never sent back more product blown up or doa from any other company than audiobahn.... just mo though.. id stay away... get a good brand.. rockford subs are nice, the oz audio matrix elites, image dynamics LOVE THEM, those newer rsd's dont look like much but hell they are awsome subs.. ill get the link to the review in car audio mag for you.. dont buy ... ma audio, lanzar, spl, power acoustik, volfenhag, audiobahn, etc.... most are not built well and dont hold up..
