Help

i think im about the only one who this couldhappen to. i wired up the LOC all nice and good. pulled out the pass. side kick panel and my left arm out of the socket. to get to the remote wire. the pink one. on top of the green harness. i went to clip the shielding and thought i had all the wires clear. apparently not. i clipped the remote wire also. do i have to solder it back to get my system to work? or can i jus solder the remote wire to the wire im gonna run to the trunk???.cause thats what im thinking(that i have to solder that remote wire or it wont work)... any help appreciated..

Wait, i'm slightly confused. What are you trying to hook up? A DVD player? I never solder anything to anything when I do my systems.

im hooking up my sub and amp. and i accidently clipped the remote amp turn on wire. (pink) trying to cut the shielding around it. and i hope i dont have to solder anything. i hope i can jus run the wire to the trunk from the clipped end. it got clipped before it goes into the wireingharness..(green harness.)

yeah thats what im gonna do. and leave an inch or more extra of some black wire that have to solder up. to linetap and route to the amp.. on another note. any way i can bolt the amp to the back of the rear seat's with out having screw poke through?? if not then ill jus bolt it to the cover over the spare...

Whats up man, hope you got that system all hooked up.
my buddy and I were using a small 4 channel amp, and we were able to put it in the spare tire well and shared room with the tire. no issues with heat, loose connections, or anything thus far, amp on his car has been installed 2 to 3 months i guess.
lemme know if you want some pics, ill snap a few for ya

if you wanna do it that way i assume its better than a butt connector surrounded by heat shrink, but, if you prefer solder have at it
