Aftermarket stereo with AAS help

Ok, Ive talked to all the stereo guys I can think of and no one can give me the same answer, so I need some help. I have a deck that I want to put in my car. It has 3 preouts, a front, a back, and a sub. I have the AAS 6 speaker system in my car. What I want to know.........

SInce I have 6 speakers in the car, I am going to have to run wires to all the speakers since Im not going to use the factory harness, (unless please God someone tell me they've made a harness for the AAS) Is it possible, to use the decks power, the 45x4, to power the tweeters and the back speakers, and use an aftermarket external amp for the door speakers using the front set of preouts on the deck. Im wondering if I use the front preout, that will over ride the decks power that it normally uses to power the front speakers. I just wanna hook the tweeters into the radio, and the door speakers in the the preamp. Possible? I am planning on swapping all speakers for Alpine Type R setup. The main reason I wanna put a deck in is cause those are 4 ohm speakers, and the factory speakers are 2 ohm, so if I use the factory amp to power the Alpines, it'll only go to half volume.

Also, I heard something about some harness that I have to buy so my airbags dont get deactivated. What is this and where can I get it?? Thanks in advance for your help!

Adam

Using the preouts shouldn't disable the regular speaker out. As long as the power ratings on the tweeters can handle the 45W of the deck they'll be fine.

You can pick the harness up from crutchfield, someone's linked to it before, it's like $150. It's relatively recent post if i remember correctly, like late december?

Alpine deck?

Headunit and onstar?

has a link to the harness which should help you, it might just be for the onstar tho. I'm just starting to get into my system, and I think I'm leaving the stock unit in the dash until something proven surfaces.

I would like to leave the stock one in because I have had a couple stereos stolen in my day. The reason I want to change is for better performance of aftermarkiet speakers. I just dont think the stock amp can push them to sound the way they are supposed too. But I also have all this crap in my closet that is just rotting so Id like to use it. When I bought my car, I didnt want the AAS but that was the only thing they had, so I took it. Its a Pioneer Premier deck by the way. thanks for the link!
