Arrow Good Replacement back speakers on an AAS System?

I have an 04 IRL with the AAS single CD Mp3 system. My rear deck speakers are blown and I would like to replace them with a quality speaker that will sound equal if not better and will still work with the AAS factory system. Any Direction would be great?

any aftermarket speaker is going to be better then stock, i would stick to a low wattage speaker though since you only have roughly 200 watts of power to devide among 6 speakers... if you throw some nice infinity kappas in there they wont sound that great since they wont be getting the amount of power they need to opperate efficiently... Id go to a store like bestbuy or curcuitcity and buy something cheap..

X2, Also another thing is the stock aas speakers are 2 ohm, and most aftermarket spaekers are 4 ohm, so that's going to cut the output by 50%. I would highly recommend just getting a better 2 channel amp, and a good component set for up front. It will sound so much better, you'll never miss the rear speakers, and it will image MUCH better. The best sounding stereo systems don't use rear speakers. I don't, and everyone that hears my system is amazed.

Thats why you get Infinity Speakers. They operate at 2OHm, and will retain the factory amp speakers wattage. The stock amp also is well within the recommended power output of the Kappa and the RS searies speakers. I have RS speakers in the back of mine, paid 25 bucks, bought them off a friend, and they sound great. Dont go to rip off (circuit city) or best buy, check EBAY, you will find them significantly cheaper there. (Unless you come across a crazy sale, or open box items.) I do agree about going front only and a different amp, but from what he says, he is looking to spend the least amount, wich would be a good set of Infinity RS (around 50 dollars)......will sound better than stock, and fix his blown speaker problem. Although one wonders how he managed to blow them in the first place...?

Upgrade the fronts to a nice set of components and then buy some "okay" speakers for the rear

The fronts are what you'll hear more & that's what you should spend more money on

I wasn't aware that infinity made 2 ohm full range drivers. That's good to know, it'll milk more power out of most any amp. Infinity is good bang for the buck too, don't sound bad at all. You can get them pretty cheap here too: www.ikesound.com

Maybe get some new fronts and swap the old fronts to the rear. I know they are just a mid with no tweeter, but it's better that way for rear fill anyway. Oh and adjust your fader forward 'till the rear starts to disappear to get a better sound stage...
