Results from yesterdays event...

Raw:

PAX:

http://lvrscca.org/race-results/auto...ound08_pax.htm

Shitty - My 4th run (innacurrately reported as a 52.6xx, actually a 50.6xx) was 8/10ths faster than my best clean run, and I hit the 2nd to last cone on the whole course, lol. Rookie shit, too - not one I shoulda hit. That woulda put by 8th in raw time and 3rd in PAX!! Oh well... Also note, a few of the best drivers in the region weren't there, so I likely woulda been 8th or 9th or so PAX and a little further down in raw time as well.

Still, for being waay outta practice and in a car I haven't really figured out yet, I'll take it. Also note - car is 100% stock. No filter, no shocks, no brake pads, no catback, nadda. 245/40/17 Hoosiers on stock IRL comp wheels, and an autocross alignment (-2.5 front pasenger, -2.7 front driver, a little toe out and what I could get in back [not much] without shims).

It was a night event, and I was in the 2nd run group. First group had higher temps, but could acutally see the course in the twighlight, wheras there were 2 or 3 spots on course that when I was driving, looking ahead was a lost cause - it was invisible. Took me a run or two to get the car placed in the right area, much less on the right line, LOL! Note that all 4 cars ahead of me in PAX were 1st group. In all honestly, most of them woulda been ahead of me anyway - but still, I could have made a little better representation, lol.

Anyway, next event not for a month...

Nice results

Never heard of a night solo lol. Thats gotta be rough.

What is the general entry count for your region? Detroit usually pulls in 200+ and my best PAX has been 62

We'll see as few as 40 (rare) and as many as 150 (less rare, not common). Usually 100-120. Dunno why this one had such low turnout.

Night solo has it's downsides. Working the course in 110+ degree weather with a UV index of 12 (yes all you east coast types, it goes to 15 here) has more downsides. Folks - in the summer around here, SPF 30 isn't sunBLOCK, it's tanning lotion. Some of you will think that was sarcasm-based humor. It wasn't. If you want sunBLOCK, you can pick up SPF 50 and even 70. I didn't know they made anything over 50 until I lived here, lol. Anyway - night racing ahs downsides, but generally they get it lit okay. On this course, the dark spots happened to be in bad places (as if there are good ones LOL) or at least ones that seemed worse than most.

Assuming my car doesn't come back from service worse than it went in -for once - I'll compete in Utah this weekend and see how I stack up in a more croweded event, with some really good drivers whom I know on a surface aI know in daylight. We can hope...
