Billetflow Ice Box

Hey guys what ever happened to the Ice box idea? I was staring at the empty spot on the left side of my engine bay and it reminded me of it. We had a good 9 page thread on it during October then it just kinda went away. I know G Cham 05 silver redline has got one on his RL. Did it not work good so it was scrapped or

I was a little confused about their box. I thought it was going to be a heat exchanger. But from some of the posts it sounded like it's just a reservoir that allows you to add ice directly to the coolant. That would dilute the dexcool every time you used it.

put dry ice or ice in the box there is a tube inside that air passes thru cooling the air

NO, NO, NO!!!!!

It's for the intercooler coolant. The coolant flows through the box, which is filled with ice. That drops the temps of the coolant down ALOT. Which in turn makes the intercooler work ALOT better.

I'd rather see a heat exchanger in there than having to mix the coolants though...
