I don't get it either. I have tried to PM them twice abou pricing. Therre is no info on the website. I would love to get it, so long as it isn't outragious. Billetflow is know for decent prices though. I also want to know that it doesn't get in the way of the torque brace.
be patient they still gotta work out the price details i dont use the torque brace but i doo think their is room it should fit

I don't mind the fact that they are still hammering out prices, but it was kind of crapy to just post pictures of it, not tell us if it is on the market, coming to market, still prototype, etc. And then ignore spooner and i's PM's asking for just a little more information.

i'd like to see this, but with some time of 'radiator' in it for the coolant to pass through.....instead of just being dilluted in a big box... cause i have some interesting ideas on how to pretty much 'super' cool the liquid w/o freezing it.

exactly!!

the car already has a cooling system built in, we just need to be able to tap into using that cooling before and after track runs.

seems like billetflow is onto something, now if only they can engineer a method to use the vehicles cooling system to advantage.

intriguing

It would look exactly the same from the outside. The difference is that the ice box would be just that. A box full of (dry) ice, water, and whatever else you want to put in there. Then your intercooler piping would pass through the box in a zigzag pattern without ever mixing with whatever is in the ice box. As it is set up today, it is just a big resevour that you can add whatever ice, or coolent you want.

The problem with that is that it will dilute your dex cool coolent.

IMO/FWIW, I think that in the summer, i will not be running much dexcool in there at all anyways, and the dilution is not that big a deal. I think that this box is going to be expensive enough with the fab work then to add a second loop of plumbing through the box.

Now, if they were going to include a way to tap the A/C line, i would be all over that. That is an amazing idea.

Just wondering what the scoop is on this. I would be interested in one if it had plumbing going through it so that the coolant never mixed with the ice.

DexCool is so cheap that it wouldn't be worth the extra cost of a heat exchanger inside that. It would also be more work for the pump. As it stands, it is just an extra resevour. I think that is the only thing that is going to keep the price down when it does come out. As long as it has a way to drain/refill the system without getting it all over you.
