due to the increasing failure rate of these cars.... I might just bite the bullet and de-mod...
So what's failing more frequently with lsj ?

Funny, only people I see having trouble have one of two things or both.
Meth injection setup.
HP Tuner Access.

Damn! I kinda wanted both of those!
So fill us in 06blackg85ss, what's the deal with the meth and tuning?

Meth injection can be tricky and HPTuners used in a careless manner will not stop you from blowing your engine straight to the junk yard. I am still wondering what the reliability issues are? Those issues were not addressed in the shortbuss thread and the only big time failures I have seen on the LSJ have been serious tuner error or BIG TIME driver error ( like going from the top of 3rd or 4th to second). Basically the car nor HPTuners will stop you from doing something stupid.

dynoing a ricer is like beating off. it seems fun at the time, but theres really no point.

That's what I thought, but 06blackg85ss feels strongly enough to want to ditch all his hard work and ca$h invested, I'm just curious as to why specifically. Could be like Clownhair and just want the easier way to 11 second 110 trap speed?

Easy is all about prospective. On a stock turbo how fast can an srt go with 93 octane and without nitrous. Any faster than us?

Its just that superchargers are harder to swap but if you wanna start swapping power adders than its anybodys game.

I dont think anyone will argue when I say the 2.0L ECOTEC is more reliable and a stronger block than the 2.4L in the SRT.
