New Dyno #s to follow...

Willy, you'll never believe this...after all the back N forth with the dealership over the idling issue, last night they took the car apart, replaced the Cam Sensor (on a hunch), pulled the plugs and found they were gapped at .035 instead of the OEM .045, AND found the intercooler wired backwards. Upon re-wiring it correctly, discovered the pump doesn't even work.

Long story short, the 225 dyno #s from last month (or whenever it was) are off, and we should see some improvement when I take "her" back in for a new baseline Wednesday morning. That same afternoon, we'll see what she can do with the Stage 1 kit + 3.15, 2.9, and 2.7" pulleys.

Stay tuned - I'm sure the baseline will show some improvements, and the "new" mods will more fully utilize the extra breathing room from the header/exhaust pkg!

Same outcome...

Well, did another 3 passes today on the dyno and didn't show much of anything new...torque was a little higher on the first run, than last time - but that was about it. The 3rd run showed a couple dips in torque (4,500, 5,500, and then again a few hundred shy of the limiter), but their initial thoughts were the car was warm or the plugs.

Hopefully tomorrow we can get her back on the dyno with Stage 1, and then do some runs with the smaller pulleys...All depends on whether or not parts come in today (some of which should've been here YESTERDAY)

I'll throw the charts from today up later...left them at the dealership.

Big Day Tomorrow (5/27)!

Bunch of us (RLs) getting together for a Dyno Day, so I'm gonna see what the 2.9" pulley will put up with this killer system Willy's mocked up (how's THAT for a plug? )

Then, if ALL goes well, I'm thinking of taking her up to the track and seeing what kind of results we can get with the 2.9" and MAYBE the 2.7" on there as well!

After tomorrow, I'm thinking there isn't much else to do until I upgrade the clutch and hook up with some slicks/drag radials...

Just realized I hadn't posted the last dyno charts up yet, so I'll do that along with the new info from tomorrow by the end of the holiday weekend.

Sorry - here's the charts...

I'm uploading a video to Google, as well, so now we'll have a A/V clip of the exhaust on the dyno. I'll post back when they approve.

As far as numbers, pretty much same results as the last dyno runs (immediately following Stage 1 install)...I never got to doing a follow up run with the 2.9" pulley on due to timing...next time, as always.

I'd like to see what it looks like in raw data form and compare it to mine. You can get the viewing program for free online, I always get the dyno data file so I can look at it later and compare it.
