Comp Pack LSD?

Is the LSD making a difference in launch times? I would assume that the wheels would catch better. In my 06 I still have some wheel hop but I have been told by others that they can feel the difference the LSD makes. What do you guys think? I was wondering if anyone with the LSD was running better times out at the track?

ive been racing this 1 guy without the lsd on a 04 redline and mine has the lsd and im pretty consistently beating him off the line in launches. he hasnt been to the track as much as me but its usually my 2.1-2.2 to his 2.3-2.4 60 foot times. but it has to do with the driver also i think.

It's funny feeling. My '04 had no LSD, but the '06 does. At first, it felt like the '06 was not as quick at the start. Only took a moment to realize what the difference was. The non-lsd was slipping, allowing the gear to be used up quicker, or back out of the throttle. The LSD '06 does not slip as easy, allowing you to stay in the gear and get the power down longer, vs. spinning and shifting.

I let alphajaguar5 launch my car the other day and he said there was a differance. As I looked I noticed my RL didnt buck or hop.

It depends on the road. I get wheel spin and grab then spin slightly in second and I'm gone. On the worst surface, I get very little wheel hop. Some slight, but not much. The slick(blacktop) roads I spin until I hit the rev limiter and spin the crap out of it in second. I hate those roads. I have noticed another thing about the IRL. If you start out weird in 1st, it will surge and grab until you let off on the gas. Kinda weird.

Why kind of LSD comes in the comp package? Is it a strong clutch-type LSD or one of those weak jap ones?
