That 8.7 in the 1/8 is roughly 13.5 in the 1/4. Our cars are running an average of 14.5-15.0 in the 1/4 depending on the driver and launch they get. What engine did you have in the CRX (can't remember if the LS is B16 or not) and with what mods, becuase that car wieghs like nothing.

LS = b18a1 pr b18a2.

I would have to say one of the most balanced honda motors. HP/Torque numbers are almost the same. You know how most honda motors are, 160hp and 110lbs of torque. The a2 rated at like 140hp/130lbs or something. Built LS/vtec motors are bad ass!

Uhhh, you can't expect to go out and run the car to its full potential your very first time out with it...

For a while when I was new to my car, I couldn't better a 14.0: within about a year's worth of "casual" track trips, I've dropped an average full second for myself.

Practice is definitely needed no matter what car.

You just said you missed second. Did you only make one pass. You definately need to try again and again because 10.3 in the 1/8 is like a low 16 second 1/4 mile time, quite terrible for a Red Line.

OK, so you're drag racing a 4 day old car..that's majorly stupid. You needed to break in the engine, but it's too late for that now. If you have a failure, because our cars have OBD II systems, a technician can look at the car's performance, rpms, shift points, etc for as many as 250 ignition starts. They'll be able to tell that you beat on a brand new car, and can easily shut the door on your warranty.

Hey, it's your money.

You ran a 10.3? Well I'm not impressed either. Practice, practice, practice.
