looks like i get to go buy a new tool tonight. i dont' have a torque wrench that'll fit around that part...

naa I never use a torque wrench. Cmon you cant curl 40lbs. Ahh screwin with ya. I have always used my best tool my mind. It states not over 80lbs which on my first by Hand I somehow ended up at 118. Neat. anyways rent one from sears ya know buy use and bring it back. TeeHee. I dont think you need one though. Rough it up man.

i've got one, but it won't fit, that's over a 1" nut on there, and i've got nothing for that. i'm just timid to wrench on it, 40lbs isn't a lot to wrench down. i overtorqed my tire when i put it on after K&N install and they're at 80ft/lbs. anyways, i'll assume tight is tight enough, i sure as hell don't want to ruin it before i enjoy it's glory!
