[shameless promo] Check out this video of Norwalk Raceway Park's "Night Under Fire". Every year on the Saturday closest to the 4th of July NRP hosts the largest one day drage race in America. Attendance is easily 35,000 every year and it is jam packed from 9 am in the morning until the last firework at around 11:30 pm ( This does not include the bracket racing after the show, which this year went on until 9:30 am Sun. morning) John Force is close buds to the Bader family and brings his whole entourage to NRP. (This is the only booked show Force is doing in '05) Track is always prepped and is national record caliber. ( a 4.75 @ 327 MPH was laid down in the F/C final) And only the $100,000 fireworks show tops the burning of the sign by Bob Motz's Jet Kenworth. Camping is available and free, if ya love drag racing, this is one event you should make a road trip for. [/ end of shameless promo]
