winter tires and rims

i was wondering if you can run 16in. rims on a 2006 red line? or would it be easier to put winter tires on the stock and get other rims and tires later?

16" fit. I just ran them for 5 months on my 04.

i just took my 16's off my 06.. they will work fine.. plus they make the brakes look huge

Because I don't have access to me 17 stocks...I run 16s (they were winter rims but I changed the winter tires off a couple of weeks ago).

The tires at 16 are cheaper but make sure you use 205 55 16 or your accelerometer will be messed up. I have a set of four hankook k106 great tire for the price (I mean REALLY GREAT)...V rated and 100% better than dunlops in rain (they have the rain type channel as well)...they say they are "radials" but honestly they are high performance tire...a little harder and thicker than an ultra high performance but you don't lose all that much (if anything at all...they are VERY sticky)
