Post my RL sounds like a truck

just started to notice that my valves are clattering, i have been using 93 octane and just started to use 89 (because the fucking gas prices are $3 a gallon ) ,i didn't think that would make that mutch of a difference what do you guys think .

4 points of octane is a big fucking difference, DO NOT USE ANYTHING LESS THAN 91 IDIOT~!

The average price difference between 89 and 93 octane fuels is generally 20 cents (around here.) 13 gallons of fuel... so that's a savings of $2.60.

Are you THAT strapped for cash?

no not that strapped for cash,but i put 10 bucks worth of it in the tank ,i didn't think that would be that fucking big of a def,and no i'm not a idiot,i have use middle grade for about 5k miles and no problem ,but last 10k miles have been using hightest shit,just didn't think that would be the case

It makes a difference man. You need 93 stock... it makes a pretty big difference... I'd run 100 for track days with the new limiter and the extra boost... personally, that is...

My CSS sounds like a diesel truck...but that is just the rock tumbler I like to call my supercharger...

Is it the SC or pre-ignition/dieseling? I kind of hear the same thing.

Sorry. My question was to Mercury but guess I could ask you, too. Pre-ignition is where the air/fuel mix is igniting prematurely from compression instead of the spark. Makes it sound like a diesel (because that's how diesels work).
