Window tinting

I was just over at the saturnfans forums and was reading about window tinting.If I am not mistaken they said the saturns are missing felt and would scratch your tint job if you raised or lowered your windows.Is this true and did saturn make a change to felt for the redline?

Depending on when you bought the car it might have the new felt strip. When I bought mine in October of last year I made sure that they put the new strips on before I tinted my windows.

Did it cost you any extra to have the new felt put on? And if so how much?

I had the scratched tint problem in my 2004 QC so haven't tinted the windows in my RL yet. But I haven't really checked to see if the new felt was put on. Can you possibly post pics of your with the new felt? Thnx

I put tint on my redline a week after I got it. I have had it for almost 3 months now and haven't noticed any scratches on the tint. I don't know of any "missing felt".
