service maniger said something interisting....

well today i take the car in to get the window fixed as my other thred said and while i was talking to the service maniger i started asking him about the clutch on my car cuz its SHOT...slips real bad!

he told me that sence my car is still a "lease" the clutch would be covered for the full 36k miles....

so i think i'm gonna call them tomorrow and have them swap a clutch in her so at least i'll have a nw stocker to burn up untill we get this crap worked out with the aftermaket units.

pretty cool huh!

That works, good plan, but I think we have pretty much decided what will correct it. I'm ordering the master cylinder tomorrow from a Corvette.

if there going to replace the stock SS/SC clutch with another stock clutch then it'll push back my time frame here of haveing to order a aftermarket clutch.

I'm not sure, I told my friend about it and he works in the parts at a Dodge dealership and can get it for $186 brand new. I think it is one of the newer ones, like 04 would work. I did a search on www.car-parts.com and found a lot for cheaper so I might actually get one off of there for $80 or so. That plus the clutch puts you at less cost than the FX300 and other stage 3s and can handle more power.

Sometimes tuners go a bit too far. The RL is a built tuner. The car isn't stock. The engine isn't stock, the trannie isn't stock and neither is the clutch.

I'm pretty sure Saab owners think otherwise though.
