Lawsuit??

Some dude named ryan posted this on the MWRLA myspace group..

"This is just to let you guys know that a lawsuit was filed today in Marion County Superior Court Indianpolis Indiana against the owner/operators of RedlineForums.com and the MRLA and there affiliated partners and networks. The lawsuit is in regards to the administarotrs blocking a public IP address. Therefore preventing a whole town from accessing the network. As you may be aware the blocking of a public IP address is illegal."

True?? I work in the legal field and will see what I can dig up.. I'm thinking that someone was kicked off of here and now their whinning on the myspace group.. anyone get a summons yet.. lol..

Don't worry about it, Ryan is just a doushe bag that can't get it through his head that he is a waste of life and not wanted around here. Also Ryan, making threats to people over the internet is way more than illegal than blocking someones ip address. I would consider yourself lucky that Sp00ner (and others)haven't pressed charges, because at this point I would be.

That someone has not only been kicked off, but they've been kicked off MULITPLE times, under many different names. If he did this for real (and he's a habitual liar, so it wouldn't surprise me if it's not real, like his twin turbo 350Z) he's going to lose so very badly. What exactly was the lawsuit for, blocking the IP address? He has made so many threats against this site and moderators and other members, that if he questions why he got booted and blocked, they will have NO problem providing proof of these threats, on numerous occasions. What a tool, this guy just won't give up the lime light will he.

I just finished checking court records in marion county and no such file exist..

Well, I'm pretty much fed up with Ryan's shit so I have contacted the Indiana State Police to find out which (if any) laws Ryan is breaking with his continual harrassment of this board and it's members.

Here is the email I sent

My name is XXXXXXX and I am a member of the internet forum Redlineforum.com. There is an ex-member (who currently resides in Indiana) that has been banned from the site and asked many time to stop posting. The reasons for this are that he has continually posted lies and when confronted he threatens violence and automobile damage against members. This is really becoming a problem as he shows up on other sites, such as myspace.com, and continues to threaten our club members. I am writing this email to find out if there is any legal action that can be taken to prevent this further harassment.

Exactly...there is no way he can take that sort of legal action...you guys should drop this stuff...talking about this kind of stuff is what could get this forum in trouble...there is no way that a person could come up with enough money to afford the type of lawyer that could come down on this forum...what lawyer would even take that type of case...

Im sure the only type of action that could be taken on behalf of the forum, is to get a restraining order against said person.

P.S. Please, do not affiliate the forum when you address law enforcement...you dont have to affiliate yourself with the forum, thats the mod's job. Going around to law enforcement will only cause more problems, talk to a lawyer first, thats what theyre here for (even though they are overpaid).
