How meny of you think this site needs a chat room? Just to cut-down on the long needless thread pages. Mod's chime in at anytime, and see what everybody thinks, and if it's a good idea, see what you can do to make one up.
(not directing this towards anybody, just thought it might be a good idea, cause some of the other sites have them, and it usley works out better then having to re-fresh the pages' to see what peaple are talking about, it was mentioned in one of those long thrends and a few of you said it sounded like a good idea so I figured give it a shot!)

I say no just becuase we can post our IM names on our sig's if we want to chat. I chat with quite a few people from the boards now (yes, even SuperBird lol)

I think the threads that are started lately is why the boards have been more active (it seems).

I do like the new emoticons (or what ever they are called) though he he

Another car board has an arcade, a points system, and the abilities based on those points to change peoples titles etc. If we were going to see things added/changed I would love to see that.

I second everything Mr. Photo just said...I don't even think a chat room would cut back on the whoring and getting off topic...fortunately no one gets mad about it here.

Maybe suggest one up on the lsjowners.com to cavingman, see what he thinks.

but what if we can't use IM's like me (I know it sucks but when I'm at work gota do what the boss say's he sighns' my paycheck)

I like the arcade idea though.

Trillian by passes most IM blocks. FANTASTIC free program. You can combine all of your screen names (MSN, AOhell, Yahoo, IRC, etc) in to one logon instead of logging in to 5 different programs. In my past it wasn't blocked where traditionally im's were.
