Extended Warranty Cancellation???

Anyone have an idea of how this would work? I got the 6 year 75k mile extended warranty for my SS/SC. Is it possible to cancel this and get most of the money back? I would assume there would be some penalty, but not sure how it would work.

You can, I had one on my normal Ion 2 Sedan and looked at canceling it. THe problem is that for each mile you put on you lost a certain amount of money on your refund, even if you have not gone past the normal dealer's warranty. Go in and talk to the dealer that setup the extended warranty for you and they can tell you how much you would get back.

If so I just might...I mean, it would be nice to have my warranty on the rest of my car (suspension, etc), but I just have a feeling they won't necessarily say NO if I have engine trouble--with a CAI and pulley--but would give me a hard time. Could set aside that $1k or so if anything does go wrong...

Or use that money for some stage kits or other fun toys.

Yes, generally you can. We did that on MrsPhoto's VUE I believe before she traded it in.

If you are keeping the car, save the warranty. Selling it, sell the warranty. $1k is nothing in the grand sceme of car repairs.
