Well, I get the keys to my car, I'm dying to take her because I've missed her so, and what do I see? Well, here are some photo links to show you.

If you're too lazy to look at the pics, what I saw was my brand new glade air freshner turned totally upside down on the vent. The liquid apparently leaked out and stained and ate away at the material in my dash board. Oh yes, saying I was pissed is an understatement. I have had this car LESS than three months now and she has been in the shop twice now and some IDIOT messes something up!

(And yes, I did immediately have the service manager come look and she admitted she was the one that probably did it and she is ordering replacements for me.)
I'll give you that, you have a right to be upset. I'd say start w/ the manager of the service dept, if need be the general manager, if need be the mother ship customer service.

Well, they're fixing it, so there's no reason to be THAT angry. We all make mistakes.

I wouldn't expect one of those things to be directional either. In fact, that's my my carpet smells like strawberries. It had a label on the bottom, so I turned it over to read the label.

Wanna know what the label said? "Do not turn over, or product may spill."

Something similar happened to me when my car was in the shop for 14 days for the seatbelts to be replaced. I get in the first thing I see is trash in my center console that isnt mine. As I'm driving I notice they didn't put the door pillar back togetehr right and there is a huge gap, then when i open the rear door, I notice greasy handprints on my tan seats. I was livid.

LOL that is kind of funny. My right vent has a little trickle where the oil from my glade ran down, but with the way my interior looks right now, I really don't even care right now.

I was sooo mad. Of all the bullshit labels they put on things like "Caution: Lighter is flamable" the ONE time I could've used a label to warn me before I did something stupid...

Well, no, I'm not that angry...yet. I'm pretty patient, and I do work my way up to the totem pole as needed. But they are taking care of the problem right away and in fact called me yesterday to tell me when the part would be in. I'm just really frustrated, having to take my car back in for a third time now. I've had the car less than three months. I shouldn't have to go in there for any problems at all. This is the third Saturn I have owned, and I never had problems with the cars-or any other car I've owned-like I am with this particular vehicle. In addition to this, there was another problem with my tags when I got the car, they didn't transfer the tags correctly or whatever, which is a domino affect with insurance coverage and the MVA, I mean, the list just goes on. So it's not just one thing in particular and I'm bitching...I'm bitching because this is getting to be ridiculous. Ya know?

This will make you feel better:

At 23,500 miles, my car had spent a total of 6 weeks in service at the dealership (when Jeepin owned it.)

I think we're up to 7 weeks now, at 29,000 miles since it's been back 3 times since then.

I'd be upset too, but they are fixing it. There are a million things that could have happened with the air freshener. I've seen it happen before a few times in the wash bay. Guys are vacuuming out the car and pull the hose from one side to the other. It hits the vents like that. I would think that is most likely what happened. Trust me, no one did that intentionally. I try to warn all of my customers to not use those air fresheners becuase the oil will ruin the interior of the car if something happens.

Next time maybe you could use the California Scents thingys they come in this short little can with a pop-top and fit perfectly in the rear seat cup holder. Work for weeks and nothing gets all over the car.
