Angry Yet another problem--this time Service people's fault!

So, maybe (or maybe not) you read this post from me: Picky About Some Things

I discussed some problems with my RL and I got my car yesterday (Wednesday) after being in the shop for 9 days. The noise is fixed, the flaking paint is fixed (though I'm not 100% satisfied, but at least it is fixed) and the leaking trunk is fixed (yet I haven't tested it out to be sure.)

Well, I get the keys to my car, I'm dying to take her because I've missed her so, and what do I see? Well, here are some photo links to show you.

If you're too lazy to look at the pics, what I saw was my brand new glade air freshner turned totally upside down on the vent. The liquid apparently leaked out and stained and ate away at the material in my dash board. Oh yes, saying I was pissed is an understatement. I have had this car LESS than three months now and she has been in the shop twice now and some IDIOT messes something up!

(And yes, I did immediately have the service manager come look and she admitted she was the one that probably did it and she is ordering replacements for me.)

Well, everything...but the dash now!

The paint looks good (they removed the panel and repainted the entire thing) however, when they cut the pinstripes, they cut INTO the paint, leaving little slices on the ends. I'm not happy about that. Also, on one part, looks like a 1 inch piece of lint landed on the panel and it got painted with the car.

Maybe I should stop scrutinizing every little thing. :-(

They didn't replace them. :-( They said they were going to replace them, because I brought the car to them with warped motors at only around 70 miles new, (it was like that when I got it but I didn't know until a friend told me) and instead of replacing them, they just resurfaced them.

Nothing against you in particular, but I've got to vent a bit about those f-ing things. I've probably spilled a dozen of them over the years doing work on people's homes. You can't expect everyone to know what they are, up/down is not always obvious, and 1/2 of them look like night lights. The odor may be pleasant to you but I've gotten asthma attacks from them. Wouldn't it be smarter to just take them out when you ask someone to work on your car or house?

IMO I hate them..but to each his/her own I guess..I've had problems with my asthma if I get too close to them or if they have multiple ones in the same room of a home.

I didn't know that they would go near my dash board for a noise coming from the emergency brake area, a leaking trunk and a panel of chipping paint in the back by the trunk area. I think up/down IS obvious...vent slots up, liquid down...liquid upsidedown = spilled liquid out of vent slots. Why would they turn the air vents upside down anyways??? That's what they did--turned the circular vent upside down.

The car was smelling mildewy from the damp trunk, so I put it in.
