National Get Together...

I know SCRLA, MWRLA, and RME have loosely kicked around the idea of getting a FORUM gathering together somewhere as centrally located as possible. Personally, I LOVE the idea of having RLs come together from all over the country for a week-weekend of "stuff" - and why not include our LSJ brothers, the 'balts?

To pull it off, it's going to take coordination between the BIG groups out there - SCRLA, RME, MWRLA, CFLRLA, etc...(I know I'm leaving some folks out).

To start, we need to pick a "week" in which people could start marking off their calendars and plan "off" or whatever. THEN we need to choose a spot. In looking briefly, I'm thinking something at/around Texas Motorplex around the early part of next year (Jan/Feb) would be the most ideal for weather and drive-time, considering CA/WA/FL and the North East will have the longest drives.

Let's kick around ideas and start trying to get things rolling on this...if there's enough interest in this, we might even contact a Speedway directly, and talk to them about taking the place over for a day/weekend, or something.

What's everyone think? Go - No Go?

ROAD TRIP!!!!! Im in for this one...Ill quit work to go to this (prolly not quit, but just not show up...) This is a great way to get the word outr about our cars...there are tons of RL owners all over the US...I think GM would be stoked to see a large group of devout Redline owners, getting together to show off their little-known cars (thanks to sh-tty marketing on GM's part, WTF is with only 1 commercial for this car, and like 30 for the SS 'Balt). Maybe it would wake up the aftermarket (prolly not...but its a nice thought) and make them realize there is a large group of ppl willing to mod this beast.

I was talking to rice about doing this a while ago. We had talked about having it on Daytona Beach. (Just the thought of that many redlines in a row is mezmorizing )

I'm all about it though. Texas isn't too far, probably about a days drive or so.

Yeah - and you figure that day's drive won't be NEARLY as bad (for ANYONE) if done via a RL/SS caravan - how bitchin would THAT be...picking up RL/SSs along the way!!!!

If it's big enough, I'm sure we could pull some sponsorship in, as well - who knows, get GM/Saturn/Chevy involved...

We could always do a FL get-together in Daytona...a pre-cursor event, or something...

That would be sweet, The only thing is that we would have to get there REALLY REALLY early, so we could get parking spaces on the beach.

Doesn't get more central U.S. than Wichita. Wouldn't want to do it Jan/Feb, though, unless the goal is to wreck every attending RL w/o winter/all-season tires & have everyone sit in their cars with the heater on full-blast. Let's just meet here in Nov. Deal? Cool. See you then!

Sorry, had to try. I'd probably be down for a meet in TX. DFW area isn't too far from me.

I know this will leave out the SCRLA but what about all of us meet up at NOPI Nationals. Its in GA which is close meeting ground for MWRLA and the SFLSJA and whoever else is around there. As far as east coast I think this will be the closest meeting for us all. GA is about 9-11 hours from me and I think its the same for alot of people but it would be kind of a middle for us all.

BTW Everyone stop forgeting the SFLSJA just becuase we couldnt think of a better name cuz were retarded dont leave us out

Summer would probably be the best time. Since some of us are still in school. If it's during the summer I'll go.
