Advocating for Denver

Why Denver??

The scenery alone is worth it. If you have never cruised through the mountains you are in for a real treat. Colorado has plenty of open spaces and National Parks. Rocky Mountain National Park, Pikes Peak, The Air Force Academy, Cheyenne Mountain (NORAD or the SGC for you Star Gate Fans), Red Rocks Ampitheatre, and soooo much more. If the mountains alone do not amaze you, there are plenty of other things to do. The Colorado Rockys and Denver Avalanche games, or tours of the Coors brewery.

Bandimere Speedway would be a challenge for any driver. Sitting at around 6000 feet of altitude, you think you are fast? Think again.

Rocky Mountain SOLO has monthly and sometimes sooner events in Denver and Colorado Springs and do not require an SCCA membership. Extra fees do apply.

So here are a few reasons for Denver as a location.

I'm saying Kansas City or St Louis. The idea of it being central sounds more fair. That is still at least a 4-5 hour trip from here but it would have to be outside of the snow season of course.

I have a feeling that St louis will get alot of votes simply because it it closer for the east coast and there are more cars there.

Is anyone voting for St loius for a reason other than, "It's Closer". No one has convinced me that St Louis is a good choice. Other than the Arch, some blues music, and some good BBQ I need more than that. Convince me people. Cause right now I am convinced Denver is the better choice.
