Exxon makes about 1/10th of what the US goverment makes on a gallon of gas...meaning Exxon makes about 6 cents a gallon and good ol' Uncle Sam makes upwards of 70 cents a gallon....so I think your frustration should be a little more directed towards the government...That and do a little research on large corperate "Profite Margins"....Exxon is not even close to the top of that list.

Here in florida, we did a story today (I work for tv news) about how asphalt and construction costs are going up because of the high fuel prices.

Almost everything revolves around fuel prices and the terrorist organization know that...they know it the only why they can truely hurt our economy is by oil prices sky rocketing...the only way that we can stop them is by becoming Energy Independant...build more nuclear power plants, build more refiners, more wind farms, solar farms, hydroelectric power plants...Drill our own damn oil including the cost of Florida and Alaska...We are Amercia, we dont need any elses fuckin help..... EVERYBODY....Our government needs to stand up and have the balls to tell everybody we by oil from to FUCK OFF.........We dont need you.........

Saw that story last night (was up for the day only ) and that pisses me off more becuse they're rasing money for FEDERAL raods, highways and interstates. I don't see these things getting any better anytime soon.

I fully expect gas to shortly hit $4.00 a gallon but I don't know how anyone would be able to predict what it will be in a year. Maybe just speculation? Gasoline prices don't bother me as far as filling up my cars go, I am more concerned with all the hidden costs that many people are not aware of. Heres a couple of examples. The cost of corrugated has recently gone up due to increased shipping costs. The cost of flour has also went up due to the increased cost in milling.
