Question Will 23psi On Stock Internals Blow Up My Engine?

Just as the title says...will 23psi on stock internals blow shit up? Crack the block or something?

boost won't usually blow your motor alone, it usually takes something else... knock, overheating, etc, that's related to it... You can get enough pressure to make the head studs give though...

Who knows... 23 is up there...

If anyone can dig up the article in SportCompactCar (?) about the Ion Redline that had the speed record you might find out. If I remember correctly they tested the stock engine (not sure 2.2 or 2.0, either way it would be good info) with nitrous and kept adding power to find out at what HP rating the certain engine parts would fail. The article went into much more detail though.

It was a 2.2 with a turbo setup I think.

I dunno what psi I'll be pushing w/ Dan's tune and a 2.6 (Probably ~18, 19 psi), but I'm more worried about my clutch and s/c, before anything else
