just bought an 06, my thoughts!

First I will start by saying that I love the car so far. But not everything is perfect. The check engine light is on only after 320 miles of use. Plus, I absolutely hate the location of the airbox. Other than that, fun little car to haul ass around town with. I will be dropping it soon and most likely be getting stage 2 from gm.

This forum is very helpful!!

Thanks guys

the fact you commented on the intake and cel in the same breath, let me take a guess, you tried to do the welfare intake mod? yea that's a guaranteed way to get a cel

welcome though

nope, I didn't try. The dealer showed me the airbox when I was buying it. About 200 miles later the light came on right after I put 91 in it for the first time. I checked the gas cap and it was fine also.

Gratz! The car is awesome! My guess is the Evap system. Most likely the canister. Had a problem a few years back.

I decided to make some major mods. Took an air chizzle to the roof and it's gone who needs it anyway? If it rains, I'll just wear a wetsuit. I have a real cold air intake. I got rid of the hood. It will make the car run cooler anyway. Tires. Don't need them anymore. Had my rims dipped in a rubber/kevar mixture. If anything it will help accellerate my liver failure. Injectors. I stole some from a 9.5 international harvester. It sounds great but rattles. Must be the diesel fuel. Helps lube up the Super Charger.

Sorry, I couldn't resist. I kept mine stock.
