Your high, the 96-98 stang GT will dyno 190's to the rear wheels stock.

The 99+ GT's will dyno around 230. And actually the 99+gt makes the same TQ as the 5L but with 40 more hp.

Your buddy doesn’t know how to race, the 32v 4.6L is tourqueless down low. Race him from a 25-30 roll in 1st gear and see what happens. Stock for stock a RL will NOT waste a 99+ 4.6, ever. Your uneducated bench racing is appalling... You = runny donkey shit.

Quoting magazines is just lame.

Oh, btw. Mullets are horrible rattle traps, even mullet owners will admit that. Stangs rarely rattle. Hell, i have coilovers on my stang and dont get a single rattle.

BTW, i have nothing against RL's or GM. I used to have a '98 grand prix GTP, it rattled like a mofo but was a fun car. I had to upgrade to the stang though.

ok mustang rice boys. i have pulled better time in my almost stock cav than many of the mustangs i see at the auto x events. i've got eibach sportlines and koni yellows. runnin falken azinis on the stock 16's. i seen a stock suspension 96-98 gt drifting and the looked like it was about to roll over. like i said a camaro handles better is faster has better brakes and is the less expensive of the two. one can be had for around 10k in excelent condition and will rape your wimpy little 4.6. and get better gas milage out of a engine with 70 more cubes. a auto z28 is in the mid thirteens stock thats almost two seconds faster than the auto mustang. like i said earlier where did the fords power disapear too? and the mustang has the gearing and weight advantage also. a 6speeed camaro's second gear goes to almost 80mph. and i got a friend with a 98ftp 2door with exhaust msd and smaller pulley and that thing owns mustangs. you can't touch the 3.8 s/c. its in a heavy ass 3600lb car and still runs high 14's with a auto. there's a few people on the jbody.org that swapped that engine into a cav with the 5speed out of the lumina z34. lets just say they can't hook up till the end of third gear. i'm gettin the gm performance s/c for my 2.4 at only 4 psi it up the hp from 150 to 200 and torque from 160 to 190 thats in a stock car. with a few mods like msd bigger tb and header its about 220, 200 at the front wheels. and thats with the stock 4.5 psi pulley. thats more than a redline thats pushin 12psi and in a 300lb lighter car.

what good is not hooking up til 3rd?? waste of time on the clock!! U seem to be all about horse power and not about what the car can do. Did u see the comparison between the new GTO with the 350 versus our little 281 mach?? The mach with less cubes, less power still raped the GTO everytime!! The mach is not supercharged either. whats that say about the almigthy 350. Yes i like camaros and trans am but its not the best thing out there. So u were saying we need a supercharger to catch up to those 350's?? Not until they messed with the GTO and added things did it even up the odds but the mach was still bone stock!

he can hook up but not full throttle . he's only had the car to the track a couple times and on bfg drags it ripped the custom motor mounts outta the car. so he's working on fixing that problem. go to the jbody.org i think you'll be suprised at the times some of these guys are runnin. with just a 75 dry shot on a stock z24 people are runnin high 13's

the ls1 is actually a 346 and there's no way a mach raped a gto maybe beat it by a 10th or two but thats it. there low 13's stock is a 3700lb car. and its a way better quality car than a mustang. its built by holden in australia
