My Holiday WishList - add suggestions

[quote]Christmas is coming up and I'm hoping to get a ton of money. Im only 18 and still live my parents... my senior year. I work almost full time 36 hours a week to pay for the RL payment and insurance, comes to $400+ a month(parents taken care of a little insurance) I'm planning on getting the following parts after x-mas.

Rims: http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/Wheel...6&autoModClar=

or....http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/Wheel...6&autoModClar=

These are either black with a chrome lip 18x8 or silver 18x7.5
Sadly, I don't want to invest in any HP increasing mods since I have a prior record for traffic violation.. making the car faster would get me in more trouble since i dont make it to the track too often.

After the rims I would get some $250 slotted rotors on eBay (amazing).

The final visual upgrade ( somewhat weight reduction adding maybe a .10 less on the 1/4 mile) would be a carbon fibre hood and trunk. Does anyone know the aem hood and trunk weight? And the weight of a good carbon fibre hood and trunk? I've heard from many drag sluts (not you dragwhore, maybe drag slut, idk man im not very sober, taken pain medicine since my accident) that every 100 lbs is about .10 second faster on the 1/4 mile?

But thats the plan.. basically making the show before the GO, or at least until I get my traffic violations resolved. I figured this was the best idea since I'd rather cruise the speed limit for now instead of testing the Rl's limits on the street. So the list to be purchased within the next year:

Rims... ... about $778 (tirerack)
Rotors... $300 (eBay)
Carbon fibre Hood & Trunk... Guessing $950 (contacted a company in carbon fibre automotive parts)
Audio: 12" Kicker S12X Rms 2500watts Peak 5000watts $550.00
Kicker Kx2500 2500 watt Amp $550.00
Pioneer Mids&Tweeters w/ new deck to power No more then $400.00

Totall: $3,528.00

Damn thats seems like a lot for all visual and audio appearances? I won't be making any HP increasing mods ( maybe a K&N Typhon intake just to here the louder S/C) But that performance factor will be in at least 1.5 years from now. I plan on keeping this Rl for at least 5-7 years. It only has 3500 miles on the drivetrain... until I have a complete motor destruction somehow. ( like hooking a 100 hp shot of wet nitrous and destroying the internals because it wasn't tuned properly) Otherwise I hope to make this car into a dream I have pictured in my mind.

FEEL FREE to let me know of any visual (non HP) mods you'd suggest for the RL.

PS- I forgot to mention my plans for suspension upgrades:

-NOT SUSPENSION but I just remembered- Gas Strut Hood Bars $175.00 (Ebay)
Bwoody traction bars $155.00 (Bwoody)
Dual Torque Braces $175.00 ( Torque Forward)
Front Strut Bar $95.00 (Torque Forward)
Rear Support Bar $65.00 (Torque Forward)
Adjustable Rear Sway Bar $75.00 (Bwoody)
Front Solid Trans Mount $95.00 (Bwoody)
RL Solid Engine Mounts Full Set $260.00 (Bwoody)

Total: $1,095

Visual & Audio ($3,528.00)
Suspension ($1,095)

Totall: visual + audio + suspension mods= $4623.00

Well that should take me a year or two to afford all my dream mods..

i'll keep everyone posted for sure.

If you get the Bwoody engine mounts there is no need for dual torque braces. I have the single torque brace on now and it was a bitch to get just right. I ordered the Bwoody brackets but have yet to install because i'm "gone" right now. If you were going for show and no go, i wouldn't worry about the carbon fiber crap and would concentrate on the interior. IMHO carbon fiber is a waste of time and reminds me of tasteless kids putting that crap on there car to try and be part of the "in crowd".

Get the black 5 spokes, but get them in 17x7.5. No reason to go to 18 inches other than to spend more money on tires. Man up and get the GMPP rotors. The little extra you'll spend on them will bring a lot of quality with it. I'd jump right into the suspension list from there. Braces and mounts are great.

edit: redline13's ^^ idea +1

How 'bout a "get out of jail free" card -

JFWY

Seriously though, list sounds good - I like the black wheels, but I'm partial to black so...:shurg03: They could look good on the burnt orange though - it's a good look if done correctly.

BWoody Solid Mounts and T-Bars will be ALL you need...as has been said. No need for the TF Rear Support AND BWoody Rear Sway - pic one or the other, and save the cash.

When you're ready for the BWoody stuff, lemme know - might be able to swing a CFLRA/STC BWoody group buy again...

Thanks for the input everybody. Where can I find GMPP rotors?
I will be going with the black 5 spokes.. but I'd rather get the 18" then 17". I'm not dropping the car and I want to fill up the wheel well more.. the gaps I have now disgust me. The fusion orange accented with black will look nasty, thats why I'm REAL interested in carbon fibre.

Just a thought- Anybody know the black decal on the Dodge Charger? Its only on the RT versions... says DAYTONA in the decal. I want to put something similar on my RL... maybe I could get REDLINE put in. This with the black rims & possible c/f will sick.
