H22 Swap- 96 Hatchy

Dont hate on me because I'm starting a thread about a Honda. Ive always talked shit about all the little civics, accords running around town with annoying exhausts, carbon hoods, rims, etc. Never thought a honda was shit unless it had a turbo or supercharger... untill...

My buddy finally gives me a ride in his 96 civic hatch back with a prelude h22 motor swap. This motor is pushing around 210-220 hp, stuck in one of the lightest cars on the road.

HOLY SHIT! Thats all. The end. He ran it a few times from 30-100 mph, and i gurantee this car is in the high to mid 13's. Would destroy my RL. Tire spin well into 3rd. Never thought I would have that much fun in a civic. And thats with all kinds of problems- needs a new front axle, and a good tune.

Very nice. I got destroyed by a CRX with unknown mods (I at least heard the VTEC switch over) a couple months back. I mean, bad. He had to be running low 12s, given what I trap. I have mucho respect for Hondas, long as they're made to go fast, not just look fast. Which 90% of em aren't.

True that. I think its amazing that these Honda guys are running all motor and putting down the numbers they do. 13's...12's..

the extra weight up front really helps keep the tires planted

Sometimes I feel like building an SL just to show them that any car can be fast when it doesn't weigh anything.

local honda B20 hatch

and it's in

or this k20a-R (RSX type S) engine in a 96 civic hatch

their is a local shop thats know in the north east for being an awsome tunning shop for hondas so if it's not making 225 N/A they throw a turbo on it and they run 350 whp.. it's crazy... lucky for me i'm good friends with the builder and know what cars he has worked on or what cars he is working on.. so i know who not to mess with.. the cars are crazy and run atleast mid 13's.. it's not very safe around here..
