i'd say they'd be equal *shrug* but what do i know.

if you have more boost then retard the timing so you don't get knock, it takes away hp (from what i've seen about 10whp for every 1* timing taken out) however if you have high compression and run lower boost, i'm not sure how that affects your HP by advancing the timing... i'd think it'd give you some more HP. so i'd say if all other factors were constant, aside from the boost and compression (meaning you're running both cars f/i and just shy of knocking) you'd get the same outcome HP-wise.

but again, what do i know i'm sure somebody will come along and smack me in the head.

edit: i realized i may have said summa that backwards - but you get the idea

depending on what you want to do...me personally i would bump up to 11:1
Do some tuning and timing w/fuel
Do some 110 octane
up the boost...

and then say bring it bitch!

then its a race car!

But a lot of boost + a lot of static compression = boom
but whats "a lot of boost"? cuz i dont really see me ever going over 20-23ish psi, so i dont want to drop my compression, and have to make up for it by throwing 30psi at her.

there was a site i was using while planning my build that would tell me when i need to start taking out timing and whatnot and what the end hp would be based upon some of the mods you had. it took into acct the temp of incoming air and told you what you could do to avoid having to take out timing, etc...

here it is - i'm not sure how accurate it'll be, but i did use as a rough guide for me

not 100% sure yet.
With the amount of boost the m62 can put out, I would get higher compression personally. With the amount a twin screw can put out.. I don't know yet, but I'll let ya know once I get around to working out all the numbers.
