Finally got my car back!!

Not that anyone cares but I need to vent a little here...

After being carless for the past 2 weeks or so I finally have my baby back and God did I miss her!! For those of you not in FL, she went in on the 20th of February. They originally thought it was the rear transmission seal, replaced that and the tranny still leaked! They then replaced the front transmission seal, it still leaked.

They pulled the tranny out last Tuesday for the 3rd time and found a hairline crack by the clutch plate!! And it wasn't covered under warranty b/c there is a TSB out there saying it's from wheel hop. FUCKERS!!

So needless to say I sucked it up and spent the extra $$$ and upgraded to the LSD! My god what a difference, it's a completely different car. The dealership said take it easy and break it in for 500 miles, that's going to be hard, I already wanted to mess with a skittle on the way home from the dealership. The next week or 2 is going to be a challenge.

I think this makes me the first non-comp package LSD RL if I'm not mistaken?? It amazing what a money pit this car has become, even though the wife is pissed I have never been happier and I'm not done yet! Just don't tell her...

Someone did it early last year with an 04. He spelled out all the costs involved with doing it.

trans ran me around $2200 and labor was around $600.

I called Saturn coporate to bitch about it not being a warranty issue and they knocked off $600-700 and gave me my next 10 oil changes for free. All in all not that bad of a deal.

nope...its been done. The live diff i have is from THE first redline to put in a LSD. CSCC 148 is the guys name (i think it may be different)...he had a silver '04...I bumped his old thread the other day...

these are all the same problems i started ahving from 6K miles...no cracks in the bell housing/clutch plate, tho...thats from wheel hop...
when they replaced my trans, it had 1/4 the amount of recomended fluid...cause they never fixed the leak.
