Forgive me brethren, for I might sin...

A friend of mine is offering me a wicked sick deal on his '76 Mustang. It's in nearly mint condition (it has a new hood and the speakers are gone), and he's offering it to me for only 2 grand! He didn't say what engine was in it, but it's probably gonna get swapped.

I'm actually thinking about taking him up on the offer when I get the money. I can do little work to it and re-sell it later to get extra cash for the Redline of my dreams. Or maybe a Neon SRT-4... I might be getting ahead of myself here, but do you guys think its a good deal (even for a rustang)?

waste in my opinion, its not going to ever be worth more then what you payed for it and your going to have to dump money into it, Id say save till you can get what you want, just my 2 cents.

A 1976 Mustang isn't worth the metal it's made w/. Reverse the 7 and 6 and you might have something worth buying, though.

Eh...honestly I would pass on it as well. You are not going to be able to get the money out of it that you put into it.

If that's a "Mustang II", it doesn't deserve the name "Mustang", as it was the poorest excuse for a sporty car there ever was. It was built in the "Dark Days", when polution control devices were new and sapped all the power from the engine. Don't do it.

Nobody wants a Mustang II. Those are the ugliest things ever.

I so wanted an SVO back in the day. I'm sure their performance #s were crap but then again, what car in the early 80's had any power until the Grand National?
